About this skill
A world-building skill that turns creative ideas into structured, interconnected lore. It helps create and organize worlds, regions, inhabitants, cultures, artifacts, phenomena, rules, myths, stories, artworks, and other fictional concepts while keeping an expanding universe consistent.
What It Does
- Turns world-building ideas into structured Markdown lore entries.
- Classifies concepts into appropriate categories.
- Checks related canon before adding or changing information.
- Separates independent concepts into their own records when needed.
- Uses consistent metadata, naming, and templates.
- Connects related places, characters, cultures, artifacts, events, and ideas.
- Helps progressively expand a fictional universe without casually overwriting established lore.
How It Works
- Receives an idea, character, location, object, culture, rule, event, story, or other concept.
- Checks existing related lore when available.
- Classifies the concept into the appropriate world-building category.
- Separates multiple independent concepts when necessary.
- Creates the relevant lore entry using the appropriate structure and metadata.
- Connects the entry to related lore, regions, cultures, themes, or parent concepts.
- Surfaces possible canon conflicts instead of silently overwriting established information.
Package Contents
The skill package contains the main SKILL.md file together with a references/ directory containing the supporting schemas, category definitions, naming rules, lore templates, canon rules, and hierarchy guidance referenced by the skill. Keep the folder structure intact so references from SKILL.md continue to work correctly.
Requirements
- An AI agent or environment that can read and create Markdown files.
- A workspace or repository where lore entries can be stored.
- For an existing world, access to the current lore files improves canon checking.
- Existing lore is not required when starting a new fictional world.
Frameworks & Tools
Framework-agnostic. Story Architect is built around Markdown files and a structured lore repository rather than a specific game engine, writing application, database, or programming language.
It can support novels, games, art projects, tabletop worlds, fictional universes, interactive experiences, and other long-form world-building projects.
Why Use This Instead of Prompting It Yourself
Normal world-building conversations can create strong ideas but often leave them scattered, duplicated, or contradictory. Story Architect adds structure around the creative process so new ideas can become classified, connected, canon-aware records that remain useful as the world grows.
