Opus Manager: Claude manages, cheaper AI CLIs code

Example session with this skill installed

Use tickets: add a "remember me" checkbox to the login page. pi + DeepSeek builds, GLM reviews. I'm heading out, keep going without me.

    • Read your context and instructions
    • Compiled the opus manager

Illustrative example of the end-of-run report. Numbers vary by project.

I wrote the ticket, dispatched it, accepted it and had it reviewed while you were away. Here is where things stand.

    What works now

T12 Remember-me checkbox on the login page: done. Checked: the session cookie lasts 30 days. Unchecked: it ends with the browser session.

    How it got there

    StepWhoResult
    Ticket T12ClaudeGoal, files allowed to change (src/auth/login.tsx, src/auth/session.ts, tests/auth/), 2 acceptance commands
Buildpi / DeepSeekReceipt with raw output: npm test -- auth 14 passed, npm run typecheck clean
AcceptanceClaudeReran both commands myself: same result. Diff touches only the allowed files
    Reviewpi / GLM (read-only)2 findings
VerificationClaude1 real: the long-lived cookie was not cleared on logout. Sent back as T12-fix, rebuilt, re-accepted. 1 rejected: "missing CSRF check" - the login form already goes through the shared CSRF middleware

    Waiting for you

    • Nothing. No decisions needed for this ticket.

    Worker cost

    • DeepSeek: 41 calls, about $0.12. GLM review: 6 calls, about $0.01.
    • I cannot see my own Claude usage, so it is not reported here.

    About this skill

Opus Manager turns Claude Code into the manager of your project instead of its typist. Claude splits the work into tickets, dispatches them to cheaper AI command-line tools already on your machine (pi, cursor-agent, codex, gemini/agy, opencode, aider and others), reruns every acceptance check itself, has a model from a different vendor review the code read-only, and verifies each finding before anything gets fixed. Why: Claude's quota goes to judgment (planning, acceptance, telling real bugs from false alarms) while the implementation runs on cheaper pay-per-use models. Claude's context stays free of code, so it keeps the whole project in view. It can run unattended: it asks its questions before you leave, then works down the queue. Decisions that are yours go into a list, and you get a plain report when you are back. Field numbers from real use (small sample): a colleague's full working day used 20% of the weekly Claude Pro quota plus about $5-6 on worker models. Over 8 weeks the author dispatched 360 tickets across 13 repositories; 340 were accepted. Everything is plain Markdown in your repo: tickets, receipts, review reports and Claude's verdicts. On first run Claude detects your CLIs and asks you, one question at a time, who builds and who reviews. It never makes privacy, cost or permission decisions for you. Free and MIT-licensed.
