/crucible --council Should I list more of pm-pilot's skills on Agensi, beyond the first three, or hold at three until the listings show traction? Context: free MIT toolkit, 37 skills in 8 plugins, 22 stars. Three free listings went live today, each linking to the repo. Several remaining skills need Jira or Slack connectors and break as single-file zips. I'm a full-time PM, so time is the constraint. No traction data yet.

Real output from one Council-mode run, the author's own decision about this listing. Five personas answered in parallel without seeing each other.

Contrarian: The hidden assumption is that each listing is a standalone bet, so the question is just how many bets to place. The three listings are funnels to the GitHub repo, and the real goal is installs of the whole toolkit. Skills that break as single-file zips deliver a broken first impression through the one channel that carries your name. Waiting for traction on hours-old listings tells you nothing, since there is no baseline.

    First Principles

Inherited assumptions: listings are scarce (they're free; the cost is your time); traction must come first (hours-old data can't show it); 37 skills means 37 listable units (many aren't standalone).
Irreducible facts: each listing costs a zip, copy and demo; several skills break alone; no signal exists yet; the payoff is repo stars and installs.
Reconstruction: waiting adds no information for days. Add only standalone skills, one at a time, and check clicks to the repo after two or three.
Teach the move: when data can't arrive soon, stop waiting for it and filter by cost and fit instead.
Expansionist: Hold at three; the 100x play is different. The 100x outcome is pm-pilot as the default PM toolkit in Claude Code within 6 months, 2,000+ stars, with Agensi as a funnel rather than a catalog. Three listings with real traction are proof that gets you featured. The one bet: the three free listings produce measurable repo click-through within 2 to 3 weeks. If they don't, listing 34 more won't help.

Outsider: If there's no revenue, what's the win condition? If a skill needs Slack and I install it alone, won't I hit "missing connector" and leave? And 37 skills from a busy maintainer looks like a project that dies in six months. Prove the three first.

Operator: Day one: add tracking to the three listings, audit which of the remaining 34 skills work with no connectors, and time one listing's prep so you know the unit cost. First failure: a connector-dependent skill installs cleanly and fails at runtime. At 10x, the manual work per listing doesn't shrink, and you inherit support for an ecosystem you don't control.

Chair: REFRAME. The better question is whether listings send people to the repo at all. Hold at three, measure repo referrals for two weeks, then add only skills that work with zero connectors. Dissent from First Principles: waiting buys no data in the first days, so prepping one standalone skill now costs little.

    About this skill

Stop wasting time on "analysis paralysis" or "gut feelings" for high-stakes decisions. This skill transforms your agent into a structured council that stress-tests ideas through adversarial debate. It moves beyond simple chat by spawning multiple specialized personas—like the Contrarian, First Principles, and Operator—to tear down and rebuild your strategy before you commit resources.

    What it does

    • Multi-persona debate spawns up to 17 specialized sub-agents to analyze your idea from conflicting angles.
    • Structured duels pit personas against each other in anonymized rebuttals to ensure arguments win on merit, not tone.
    • Automated model routing utilizes Opus for the chair and critical thinkers while offloading rubric checks to faster models.
    • Decision logging writes full, high-fidelity transcripts to disk, keeping your main chat clean while preserving the reasoning.
    • Intake guardrails audit your motivations to prevent the crucible from becoming a procrastination ritual.

    How it works

    1. Intake triggers the chair to classify your input as a problem or solution and restate the question for confirmation.
    2. Opening takes run parallel sub-agents to provide independent, non-contaminated analysis based on strict rubrics.
    3. Pair duels execute serial rebuttals where personas attack each other's arguments without knowing who wrote them.
    4. Verdict delivers a final Proceed, Reframe, or Kill recommendation alongside a mandatory minority report.

    Frameworks & tools

The skill is designed for advanced LLM environments supporting multi-agent orchestration. It utilizes specific model routing across different tiers and requires local file system access to manage the crucible-transcripts/ directory.

Why this beats prompting it yourself

Standard prompting often leads to "mediator mush" where the AI tries to be too helpful or agreeable. This skill enforces adversarial tension and strict rubrics, ensuring you hear the dissenting voices that single-prompt sessions usually bury.

    Use cases

    • Strategic planning for side projects or product directions where the cost of being wrong is high.
    • Sanity checks for daily PM ideation to quickly identify hidden flaws in a feature request.
    • Career moves that require a heavy-lift "existential" council to evaluate long-term consequences.
    • Framework reframing when you suspect you are pattern-matching correctly but asking the wrong question.

    Known limitations

High resource usage requires 30-90 seconds for full councils. Requires a local directory for transcript persistence. Not intended for tactical, low-stakes questions.

    How to install

Works the same in every agent - Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot and 20+ more.

    2. 2

      Unzip into your skills folder

Every agent reads skills from one folder on your machine. Drop the unzipped folder in there.

    3. 3

Ask your agent to use it

Restart the agent if it was already running. It picks the skill up automatically - no config needed.
