Durable I/O & Atomic Persistence
Make persistence workflows durable across descriptor ownership, partial reads, buffered flushes, atomic replacement, uploads, export snapshots, shutdown, and transactional event delivery. This bundle repairs the gap between an operation returning successfully and data actually becoming complete, visible, and recoverable. Use it when crashes, retries, rename semantics, close ordering, or partial I/O can corrupt files or lose committed side effects.
Works with every agent that reads SKILL.md — Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, OpenClaw, and more.

8 skillsRepair file descriptor and handle leaks from files, streams, watchers, pipes, subprocesses, early returns, retries, errors, and cancellations.
Repair partial reads, truncated frames, stream-chunk/message confusion, early EOF acceptance, and stale decoder state.
Repair missing flushes, ignored finalization errors, close-order inversions, premature success, and buffered output lost before it reaches the intended sink.
Repair atomic file replacement bugs that expose partial content, cross filesystems, lose metadata, or overstate durability.
Repair file-upload drift across validation, object keys, authorization, quarantine, scanning, finalization, retries, downloads, cleanup, tests, and docs.
Repair long-running exports that produce missing, duplicate, mixed-version, or inconsistent rows when source data changes mid-run.
Repair apps that lose jobs, events, or writes when containers restart, deployments roll, or processes receive termination signals.

Repair File Descriptor Leaks
Example session with this skill installed
Our Node/TypeScript service processes uploaded ZIPs. It opens an input stream, unzip parser, output streams, and sometimes a helper subprocess. If one entry fails validation, the function returns early. After hundreds of failed generated uploads, local tests reproduce EMFILE and open handles keep rising. Repair using temporary ZIPs and disposable subprocesses. Do not access customer files, change ulimit, or inspect production descriptors.
- Read your context and instructions
- Compiled the repair file descriptor
Descriptor leak found. The repair centralizes ownership and cleanup and adds repeated-failure tests returning local handle counts to baseline. Production descriptor usage remains unverified.
How to install
Works the same in every agent - Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot and 20+ more.
- 1
Download the ZIP
Free skills download straight away. Paid skills unlock right after purchase.
- 2
Unzip into your skills folder
Every agent reads skills from one folder on your machine. Drop the unzipped folder in there.
- 3
